Tru Calling

Tru Davies, a medical grad student in Boston whose grant is suddenly pulled out from under her, takes a job at a local morgue. There, she discovers that she has the power to "re-live" the previous day over again to help the people who wrongly ended up dead. She uses this gift not only to save lives, but to help her trouble-plagued family - her older sister Meredith, a lawyer and drug addict in denial; and her younger, irresponsible, slacker, gambling brother Harrison.

Tru has a hellish first day as free med school student, being embarrassed by Professor Seidel, while Davis fears he'll loose his job after the office's regular psychological assessor is replaced by Dr. Carrie Allen, brother Harrison 'Harry' Davies refuses a job offer from dad Richard but is about to lose his present one as delivery driver when his truck is stolen, and it ends when Metro Police harbor cop Kate Wilson asks her help on the morgue slab, but worst of all Jack Harper is back after months, and takes orders from no lesser then dad Davies. It looks like Jack is not one step ahead -like smart helpful Davis, who accidentally saves himself- but two at every count, he even warns the students whose boat will capsize in a white squall not to believe Tru and first has Kate 'rescue' him so he can thank her by a lunch date... Harry finds the hidden perils in his job, and makes a radical decision...
