Toni (Leo Reisinger) is a natural talent as a maternity nurse and loves his job more than anything - even if it's not always easy for him as a male midwife. When the 39-year-old lost his job in the hospital, he had no choice: he had to start his own business. Toni can only afford to get into the practice of gynecologist Luise (Wolke Hegenbarth) if he drives a taxi at night. Unfortunately, a time bomb is ticking in the partnership with the doctor: there is a delicate secret between the two that he should reveal before she finds out. Toni also wants to come to terms with his ex-wife Hanna (Kathrin von Steinburg), who kicked him out because of a misstep at the midwife carnival. Easier said than done, because the baby whisperer has his hands full.
