20 players from across Portugal arrive to play the game of a lifetime in the hope of winning EUR20,000. It's not long before they are questioning everything, and everyone, as the host secretly assigns the Traitors. Upon arriving at the monastery, players randomly choose a place on the available platforms. One of these spots was previously marked as the place of the first death. This player there is automatically out of the game without making himself known to the group. Following this, the group faces their first real mission. Their task is to position themselves in ascending order of age (so the youngest contestant on 1, and the oldest on 20). They need to be completely accurate in order to earn EUR500 for the prize fund.

Then they must all take part in a mission during the day to win silver for the prize pot. The 18 contestants are split into two teams, each with the task of setting a giant metal cross on a beach ablaze within 20 minutes.

The 15 contestants are divided into three teams of five. Each team member is in charge of completing one segment of a 5-part relay race. The winning team becomes the first to visit The Armoury.

After breakfast, it's mission time. The 10 remaining contestants are divided into two teams of five. Each team gets into a car, and they have to navigate their way to the final destination; Ourém Castle. Within the Castle they discover several barrels worth money and access to the Armory. To succeed, each team must attempt to get as many barrels over the finish line as possible.

During this episode's mission, the eight contestants make their way to the Castelo de Porto de Mós, where they are divided into two teams of four. In the first stage, each team is dispatched to a separate tower in the castle. Once there, the teams find themselves in the separate escape rooms, where they have 30 minutes to solve three puzzles. In the second stage of the game the players must then take part in a target shooting session to claim their place in the Armory.
