Mr. Monk's Favorite Show

Fri, Aug 7, 2009 43 mins

When Adrian Monk was a kid, his father abandoned him. He never had a particularly close relationship with either his mother or his brother. Adrian wanted to experience family life, and he became an obsessive fan of a sugarcoated family sitcom. His favorite actress was the child star Christine Rapp. Several decades later, Christine publishes her autobiography and Adrian enthusiastically buys it. When Christine seemingly survives a car bomb explosion, Adrian offers to guard her from further threats. He is soon disillusioned with his childhood idol, but he is still ready to protect her. When Christine guns down a supposed stalker in cold-blood, Adrian starts suspecting that Christine may not be the innocent victim of a harassment campaign. She may instead be the actual threat.
