Doc and his dog Sprocket have a hole in their wall, behind which live little furry creatures known as Fraggles in a place called Fraggle Rock. The Rock is also home to the Doozers (who are knee-high to a Fraggle) and the Gorgs (who are giants that think they rule the Rock). One gang of Fraggles (Gobo, Mokey, Wembley, Boober, and Red), under the guidance of the all-knowing Trash Heap (Marjorie), learn about each other and their neighbors and eventually befriend the Doozers, the Gorgs--and even Doc and Sprocket. Meanwhile, Gobo's Uncle Matt explores Outer Space (our world) and sends postcards to his nephew about the Silly Creatures (that's us).

First Look: Hulu's Doozers Picks Up Where Fraggle Rock Left Off

Jim Henson's industrious (and very green) Doozers are back, this time via the new animated preschool series Doozers, set to launch Friday, April 25, on Hulu. The Doozers were first seen on Henson's long-running kids show Fraggle Rock, which ran on HBO for much of the 1980s. For the reboot, Doozers will focus on four enthusiastic kids (the "Pod Squad") who live in eco-friendly Doozer Creek and engineer their dreams into reality. Hulu has ordered 52 episodes of Doozers from The Jim Henson Company (Dinosaur Train) and DHX Media (Yo Gabba Gabba). The show launches with seven episodes on Hulu Plus, followed by a cycle of three more new episodes every third Friday (with some exceptions for holidays and special stunts). Episodes will also eventually appear on Hulu.com in blocks of five episodes.

Jerry Nelson, the Voice of Sesame Street's Count, Dies at 78

Jerry Nelson, the puppeteer best known for playing Count von Count on Sesame Street and Gobo Fraggle on Fraggle Rock, died Thursday, the Jim Henson Company confirmed. He was 78. "Jerry Nelson imbued all his characters with the same gentle, sweet whimsy and kindness that were a part of his own personality. He joined The Jim Henson Company in the earliest years, and his unique contributions to the worlds of Fraggles, Muppets, Sesame Street and so many others are, and will continue to be, unforgettable," company CEO and Jim Henson's daughter, Lisa, said in a statement on Facebook. "On behalf of the Henson family and everyone at The Jim Henson Company, our deepest sympathies go out to Jerry's family and to his many fans."
