Flickerfest On EXTRA is to the small screen what Quentin Tarantino is to the big screen - at times it's brash, often sassy, a little bit geeky and a whole lot more fun than an episode of "Project-So-You-Think-You-Can-Biggest-Loser". Every week Damian Walshe-Howling presents short, pocket rockets of drama, comedy, thriller or spiller stitched tightly together with sharp insights from film industry luminaries such as Jan Chapman, Fred Schepisi, Ben Mendelsohn, the Edgerton Brothers, Dan Wyllie...the list goes on! Flickerfest On EXTRA features a selection of both new and classic, award-winning highlights from Australia's Academy® Award accredited film festival; Flickerfest. No stranger to the industry, as a short film enthusiast, an actor & a director; Damian not only hosts the 7 x half hour programs airing Fridays at 10:30pm on MOVIE EXTRA but also chats to actors, directors and producers about their short films. Discover how Rachel Griffiths, Greg McLean and Frank Woodley, amongst others, have all cut their teeth in the short film form.
