Awkward. is about to get even more awkward. On the midseason finale, Jenna gave into temptation and kissed Colin Jennings. (Nolan Funk), the new guy that had caught her eye. So where does Jenna go from here?

Kicking off Monday, July 8 at 9 a.m. ET/PT, MTV will run their hit reality show Laguna Beach from the beginning. The first season, which premiered in 2004, launched the careers of Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti.  Beginning Tuesday, July 9, the 4-hour episode block begins airing at 8 a.m. ET/PT. When the series ended its 6-season run in 2010, the final scene showed Cavallari and Brody Jenner saying goodbye, before a back drop moved and depicted the green screen they were in front of as a nod to the rumors that the show was fake. The Tuesday Playlist: NBC Falls Out Of Love

Way to squander a Voice lead-in, NBC. Turns out America wasn't ready to waste another night of the broadcast week on a ridiculously padded dating show, so after this week, Ready for Love (Tuesday, 9:01/8:01c) goes into reality limbo — and honestly, if scripted duds can get yanked without notice, why should lousy competition-reality shows be exempt when shunned like this one was? On the plus side, with The Voice about to end its enjoyable "battle" rounds and move next week into the "knockout" phase, the expanded Tuesday edition will be joined April 30 by the clever supernatural thriller Grimm, given a well-deserved reprieve from the Friday trenches for the rest of the season. (Part of me wishes NBC would invest more heavily in Hannibal and give it a shot in this wide-open Tuesday time period, but Grimm is probably a better fit.) Want more TV news and reviews? Tuesday TV Review: Emily Owens, Underemployed, Fox Comedies and More

"Clear!" How many times have you heard that while watching a medical show? Now meet The CW's Emily Owens, M.D. (9/8c), who's such a magically giddy sprite of a surgical intern she can actually "Clear!" a room, just by showing up. My living room, anyway. Or any room in which she might suddenly appear, babbling in gratingly incessant voice-overs that make Meredith Grey seem a model of restraint. A more toxically cutesy, aggravatingly precious, aren't-I-adorable waste of talent would be hard to imagine.

Thursday TV Review: NBC Comedies, Kids Talk Divorce

As I was watching HBO's kids'-eye-view examination of divorce (discussed below), I couldn't help reflect on my own break-ups — TV-related, mind you. Cases in point: I hear Weeds went off the air last weekend, way past its expiration date; I gave up on that one long ago, around the time they were on the lam in the Northwest, unmoored from any sense of reality and continuity or purpose. More to the immediate point, NBC's The Office is returning for its ninth and...

The Daily Review: A New and Improved (for now) Glee

Few shows experience growing pains more publicly than Fox's Glee, the exuberant and irreverent — and often painfully inconsistent — coming-of-age musical comedy that is in a seemingly constant state of reinvention, often at its own peril. Coming off the most significant upheaval to date, a graduation-day finale that sent a number of its most prominent characters (Rachel, Kurt, Finn, Quinn, Santana, Mercedes, Mike Chang) into the world beyond Lima, Ohio, Glee rebounds in the fourth season with a terrifically entertaining season opener on a new night and time (Thursdays, 9/8c). Glee may never be able to recapture its initial glow and buzz, but if this is an indication of its future, I like where it's heading.

Ask Matt: Major Crimes, Covert Affairs, MTV's Inbetweeners and More

Question: Let's play armchair programmer. While I am enjoying Major Crimes, it does feel a bit like we're just waiting for Brenda Leigh to show. Do you think they could have benefited from holding Major Crimes until the traditional December run of The Closer to let us get a little distance? Or is it purely a creative question? Major Crimes looks just like The Closer. Could the show benefit from some slight visual tweaks? Perhaps a slightly different opening sequence? — Steven

Awkward's Sadie: Love Her or Hate Her?

While I tend to hate everyone that shares my name based on principle alone, there's something I find irresistible about Awkward's Sadie Saxton (Molly Tarlov). It's surprising that Jenna's nemesis is the one to revolutionize my life-long philosophy. On the surface, Sadie is one of the cruelest characters on TV, but over time we've gotten to see a more vulnerable side to Awkward's resident mean girl. But have these moments been enough to humanize the Queen Bee of Palos Verdes?

Awkward's Molly Tarlov: Sadie Will Fall in Love and Let Her Guard Down

Awkward fans are about to see a whole new side to resident mean girl Sadie when she falls in love for the first time. "She's going to let her guard down a bit," star Molly Tarlov tells TVGuide.com. "She's going to be dealing with male intention for the first time. Sadie's whole thing is that she wants attention, but also doesn't want it — that's what makes her so insecure and so mean."

Review: Great Comedy Tonight — And Anger Management

It's something of a crying shame that the new comedy getting the most attention tonight (buzz-wise, though certainly not critically), and which almost certainly will attract the widest audience (of morbidly curious rubber-neckers, but who's counting) is by far the least worthy of attention or respect. We're talking, of course, about Anger Management, bowing on FX with back-to-back episodes (9/8c) following a 12-hour marathon of Two and a Half Men repeats (starting at 9 am/8c) selected — so we're told — by Charlie Sheen himself.

Awkward. Creator on Jenna's Reservations with Jake and Why Matty Is This Season's Hero

Jenna Hamilton has made her choice, but will she stick with it? On the season finale of MTV's breakout hit Awkward., Jenna (Ashley Rickards) chose Jake (Brett Davern), the nice boy who's open about his feelings for her, over Matty (Beau Mirchoff), her first love who wanted to keep their relationship a secret. When the second season picks up (Thursday, 10:30/9:30c), Jenna and Jake will still be a couple, but has she really moved on from Matty?

Matt's Guide to Tuesday Night TV: New and Returning Shows

Continuing a weeklong series of new-season analysis and previews, here's my take on how I see the new Tuesday lineups playing out. Tuesday in a Nutshell: The no-brainer: CBS will continue to rule with its NCIS-NCIS: LA combo, and the new procedural-with-a-twist Unforgettable should fit right in, possibly putting a dent in ABC's midseason surprise Body of Proof, which roughly targets the same audience for female-driven crime dramas. Fox should make significant inroads with the younger demos, especially if Glee gets back its groove in this transitional graduation season (for some characters, anyway). The delightful New Girl deserves to break out, and may bolster the fortunes of my favorite comedy from last season, Raising Hope. On NBC, The Biggest Loser provides stability if not much excitement ...
