4th and Forever: Desoto

As the saying goes, "Everything is bigger in Texas." But nothing is bigger than high school football. After all, this is the home of Friday Night Lights fame - a celebration of sports and community that is woven into the lore and culture of the Lone Star State. In this season of 4th and Forever, the focus is on the Desoto Eagles: an elite high school program that proudly represents this thriving Dallas suburb. Competition is fierce... No more so than at the highest 6A level, where the best teams, like Desoto, vie for the coveted state title. The Eagles are part of a league that has earned a notorious nickname - the District of Doom - known for its unmatched level of play and heated rivalries. In the past two decades, Desoto has successfully run the gauntlet, becoming District Champions six times, and winning State once, back in 2016. This year's team looks to recapture that glory and reach the summit of high school football in Texas.
