Here's who's booking a luxurious and troubled vacation

Natasha Rothwell, Nicholas Duvernay, The White Lotus
HBOWatching vacations go awry for the ultra-rich is the appeal of The White Lotus, Mike White's satirical HBO dramedy, which has captivated viewers since its 2021 debut. Given the widespread popularity and critical acclaim of the show's first two seasons, it was hardly surprising that HBO renewed the series for a fourth season ahead of its Season 3 premiere. And now we officially know some of the next group of wealthy vacationers and where they are headed.
The White Lotus Season 3 starred Walton Goggins, Aimee Lou Wood, Parker Posey, Jason Isaacs, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, Sam Nivola, Michelle Monaghan, Carrie Coon, Leslie Bibb, Lalisa Manobal, and Tayme Thapthimthong, playing a mix of visitors and staff at a posh resort in Thailand. Natasha Rothwell reprised her fan-favorite Season 1 role as spa therapist Belinda, and, in a surprise twist, Jon Gries reprised his role as the late Tanya's (Jennifer Coolidge) husband, Greg. Season 3 earned almost two dozen Emmy nominations, but only won one for theme music.
But what's ahead for Season 4? TV Guide will be gathering everything we learn about the next chapter of Mike White's hit series here. Read on to learn everything we know so far.
Filming on Season 4 has begun on the French Riviera, Deadline reported on April 15. The timing is purposeful, as the Cannes Film Festival is currently underway in the area and will be part of the season's storyline.
In September 2025, Deadline reported that HBO had "zeroed in" on France as the setting for The White Lotus Season 4.
The show typically films at multiple resorts per season. Variety reported in early January 2026 that the first hotel that will be used for production is the Château de La Messardière, an old palace-turned-hotel in Saint-Tropez, a French Riviera town on the southeastern coast of France. As you'll be able to see from scrolling the hotel's Instagram account, this place fits the White Lotus vibe pretty perfectly. It will stand in as the White Lotus du Cap. Also being used in the new season is Hôtel Martinez as the White Lotus Cannes, according to Deadline; the real hotel is well known to be a celebrity hotspot during the Cannes Film Festival, which will play a role in the story.
The White Lotus Season 4 started filming in April 2026, so it likely won't premiere until sometime in 2027.

Steve Coogan, Alexander Ludwig, and AJ Michalka

French actors Vincent Cassel, Corentin Fila, and Nadia Tereszkiewicz are also starring, and are good bets to play French locals. We don't know anything about any of Season 4's characters yet.
The season has also attracted a famous crop of actors to play recurring roles. Chloe Bennet (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley), Heather Graham (Boogie Nights), Rosie Perez (The Flight Attendant), and Max Greenfield (New Girl) are booked, as are Charlie Hall (The Sex Lives of College Girls) and Jarrad Paul (Free Bert). The Cannes setting could mean these actors are playing themselves, and the season is ripe for other surprise cameos, much like Sam Rockwell's unannounced appearance in Season 3.
A lingering question after Season 3 is whether Belinda and her son, Zion (Nicholas Duvernay), will be back for The White Lotus Season 4. Their chapter in Thailand concluded with Belinda receiving $5 million of what's essentially hush money from Greg. (She had probed him about Tanya's death, and he offered a payment that was obviously in exchange for her silence on the issue.) It's unclear what the spa therapist is going to do with this new balance in her account. In her own words, "Can't I just be rich for five f---ing minutes?" But we're hoping for more Belinda, because who doesn't want more Natasha Rothwell?
And it's always possible that some previous White Lotus guests could book a return trip. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published shortly before Season 3's finale, White said he'd "love" to do an all-star season. "They could get all the douche guys in one hotel together," Schwarzenegger said in the same interview. "Mike said that one day when we were on set, he was like, 'Oh my God, it'd be so good to get you, Jake Lacy, and Theo James in the same room.'" Meghann Fahy, who starred in Season 2, told People in April that she'd love to reprise her role as Daphne in a future season: "I'm always down, always."
