Vincent leads a quiet life as a graphic designer in Lyon. But his daily routine is thrown into disarray when an intern at the office suddenly attacks him brutally. More attacks follow shortly thereafter: colleagues, strangers, even chance encounters on the street become deadly threats. Each time, eye contact seems to be the trigger. Why people in Vincent's presence are seized by an uncontrollable impulse remains a mystery. The more these incidents pile up, the more Vincent withdraws into himself. Working from home offers only temporary protection, for danger lurks wherever everyday encounters occur. Now on the run, Vincent discovers that he is not alone in his plight. Others affected by the same condition are also trying to withdraw from society and develop survival strategies within digital communities. The individual threat turns into an all-encompassing social crisis. When Vincent meets Margaux while on the run, his situation changes fundamentally. Amid caution, mistrust, and the desire for closeness, a relationship develops that gives him a new sense of stability. Yet their togetherness remains precarious, for violence lurks even within their intimacy.
