The Space Race will always be a monumental time in history. Revolutionary discoveries were made and they have only inspired a desire to explore further. In 2002, billionaire entrepreneur and space travel pioneer Elon Musk founded SpaceX. The American aerospace manufacturers and space transportation services company became the first private company to successfully launch and return a spacecraft from orbit. Space X has been making significant advances in space technology. Musk believes that along with NASA, they will be able to achieve their space travel mission of sending the 1st humans to Mars. His dream for the future is to become a multi-planetary species, and make space travel affordable.We have come a long way since the beginning of the Space Race - In 1969, the first person set foot on the Moon, making history.
