Prince Shamsher Singh is brought up as a brat and turned alcoholic and irresponsible and wants everyone to bend in front of him .When a priest refuses he has him beaten but repents and asks him how he can transform himself,The priest tells him that by living a simple life of common man.Shamsher plans his fake accident and starts and comes across an egoistic Rajkumari Amrita.Shamsher is soon kidnapped by a gang Dacoit's,where one of the Dacoit Sajjan helps him elope and decides to take him to his village. But Sajjan dies on the way after being shot by his gang-men,Shamsher reaches his house and pretends to be Sajjan in front of his blind mother as she is on her deathbed.Sajjan's mother gets well soon feeling her son has returned and Samsher starts living a common life by working in palace of king of Jamnapur. Where he again comes across Amrita whose daughter of the king.Shamsher is beaten and fired from his job when he misbehaves with Amrita. At the same time two corrupt officials from his palace feel that Samsher (now Sajjan) is lookalike of their king and wants him to take his place.Shamsher still hides his identity but goes to his palace as fake Shamsher.When he finds his father has passed away and his quite younger step mother Ratna and her brother are eyeing his wealth.While also decides to break Amrita's attitude whose at the same palace to console her friend Ratna.
