Gila!
The film opens with a teenage couple parked in a bleak rural area and thinking about their future. A giant Gila monster attacks the car and the couple runs for their lives. Chase Winstead, a young mechanic and hot rod racer, and his girlfriend, Lisa (Madeline Voges), meet up with Chase's former enemy, Waco Bob (Jesse Janzen), and his girlfriend, Carla (Christina De Rosa). Prompted by calls from Mayor Wheeler (Gerard Pauwels), Sheriff Parker (Terence Knox) enlists the help of Chase, a young mechanic and hot rod racer, to find out what is going on. Sheriff Parker and Chase locate the crashed car in a ravine and find evidence of the giant lizard. The police try to kill it, but that only emboldens it no end. The creature then continues to prey on the people of the small town. It finally starts to head straight for the Winsteads' house; however, Chase packs his prized hot rod with nitroglycerin and rigs it to speed up and run straight into the giant lizard, killing it in a flaming explosion and heroically saving the town.
