A young medical student leaves university, determined to escape the conventional life expected of him. He longs for money, comfort, and freedom, hoping to break away from the limitations imposed by his generation. Wandering through Warsaw, he moves from one strange and increasingly surreal encounter to another. He meets a young tram conductor whose idealism and independence stand in sharp contrast to his own cynicism. Their encounter forces him to reconsider his ambitions, his dissatisfaction, and what he truly wants from life.
