It's supposed to be the most wonderful Christmas ever, and none of the relatives should be missing. That's what Simon, Oscar, and their friend Cissi want. The three of them have bought a house and just started renovating it. But it's not their new home that's the focus of the festivities, it's Cissy. The young woman is heavily pregnant. No one knows about it yet except Simon and Oscar. When all the guests are finally gathered, the happy news is announced. The reactions vary, with the future grandfather Ulf finding it particularly difficult to come to terms with. Everyone is asking one question above all others: Who is the father? Simon and Oscar are gay and have been a couple for three years. Soon, the parents of the potential fathers are arguing about their rights to the future grandchild. As the initial festive mood degenerates into petty squabbles and chaos, the patchwork family realizes what a mess they have created.
