James Masterson and the Battle of Cimarron

In the late 1880s, two Kansas towns are locked in a battle over which will control the county seat and have legal power over all the county's documents. Sheriff Bill Tilghman of Ingalls, Kansas, organizes a raid to seize the official county seal from the nearby town of Cimarron. But when Tilghman, deputy James Masterson, and a group of other lawmen arrive at the Cimarron courthouse, they are surprised by a mob of townspeople who are ready to fight for Cimarron's position as the county seat. When gunfire erupts, Tilghman is forced back to Ingalls with his wounded men, leaving Masterson trapped in the courthouse fighting for his life against an entire town.
