Sheriff Jude Ellis expected a quiet job when he became chief of police in touristic beach town where rarely anything happens. That chances when corpses start beaching up without any ship or so they may come from. The survivors are take in custody by a federal agency, whose director personally covers the dubious acts of his supervising agent on spot and total silence to the press, and claim to be time travelling survivors from a horrible future. An escaped female survivor seems to possess superman powers and sneaks up to sheriff Ellis, who already doubts the infringement on his jurisdiction, demanding he helps free the mystery strangers. At least one hostile third party sets a lethal trap for the most outspoken survivor, who expects a hefty reward for the worrisome full truth.
