A seemingly calm and friendly seaside town becomes a town wrapped in secrets when the death of an eleven year old boy sparks an unwanted media frenzy. As the town's locals start to open up about what they do and don't know, it falls upon the police to catch the supposed killer.

Follows rookie police officers working in Belfast, a city in which being a frontline response cop comes with unique pressures and dangers.

A crime drama that's half police procedural/half legal drama focusing on the Criminal Investigation Department (C.I.D) Detectives who investigate murders involving the people on the streets of London and the Crown Prosecutors who prosecute the defendants in court. The police half focuses on the exciting case load of London Metropolitan Murder Investigation Unit (M.I.U). The police start pounding the streets in the pursuit of their prime suspect by piecing together the clues of each and every heinous crime. They do not stop until the jigsaw is complete and they have enough evidence to make an arrest. But catching the killer isn't always enough, once the crooks are caught and the evidence has been gathered, the Crown Prosecution Service (C.P.S) takes over for the second half and in a tough criminal justice system founded up the belief of 'Innocent until proven guilty' the burden of proof falls on the shoulders of the Prosecutors of the CPS. The CPS team tackle the biggest and most controversial case where life and liberty hang in the balance, These are their stories.

SPOILER: Orphan Black follows outsider, orphan and street-wise chameleon Sarah. After witnessing a woman's suicide, Sarah assumes the stranger's identity - who happens to look just like her. Expecting to solve all her problems by cleaning out the dead woman's savings, Sarah is instead thrust headlong into a kaleidoscopic mystery as she realizes the dizzying truth - she and the dead woman are clones. As Sarah searches for answers, she discovers the chilling fact that there are more people like her out there - genetically identical individuals who were planted in unsuspecting birth parents and nurtured in completely different circumstances. John Luther is a police detective, and a very good one. He deals with murder cases, often involving serial killers, and has a knack for getting inside the mind of the killer. However, his methods, personality and troubled private life often get him into strife with his superiors, leading some to regard him as the problem rather than the solution.
