A teacher from a wealthy family in the East travels out West to teach in a small coal mining town.

Emily Lane has recently moved to the small town of Forest Grove NY where she owns and operates Under the Mistletoe, a year 'round Christmas store. This outwardly quiet life belies her secret past, she having moved there to escape that past.
