Adopted by farmers in Lucas, Kansas 20 years ago, Dorothy Gale became a nurse and finally resolves to grant her biological mother a long-denied first meeting. But her mobile home is a bloody crime scene, and when Dorothy leaves a supernatural tornado rises, which takes her and a killed woman it must have brought to the parallel world of Oz, where the ruling Wizard is soon alerted and sends his right hand Eamonn with other guard knights to destroy the magical intruder at all cost. Local tribal chieftain Ojo puts her trough torture-questioning, but ends up giving her a tour of the horror land with infernal prison and instructions to seek the wizard. On the way, she passes and liberates a handsome amnesiac knight who was crucified and sort of teams up with him. They barely escape, being confronted by a vindictive black witch who starts dooming them to the hellhole, but is ricked into shooting herself with a pistol, unknown to her. As the knight, whom she names Lucas, bleeds too badly, they set out for the nearest apothecary, unaware she holds a young boy Tip captive forever.
