Rob Lowe to Star in NBC Comedy Pilot

Rob Lowe might be returning to NBC.

The Parks and Recreation alum is set to star in a comedy pilot for NBC,Deadline reports. The untitled project will reunite Lowe with writers Pete Huyck and Alex Gregory — the same team who produced last fall's pilot The Pro, which also starred Lowe but was not picked up to series.

In the new pilot, Lowe will play a newly sober father who returns to his hometown to make amends with his teenage son and daughter, as well as his ex-wife, and become a devoted parent for the first time.
