On Thursday, March 27, the New York Yankees will kick off their season by hosting the Milwaukee Brewers at 3:05 p.m. ET. That game will be shown on ESPN, as will the matchup between the Detroit Tigers and reigning World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers at 7:05 p.m. ET. AL Cy Young Award winner Tarik Skubal takes the mound for the Tigers, going up against two-time Cy Young winner Blake Snell for the Dodgers. Several division rivals will face off on the 27th, including the Toronto Blue Jays vs. Baltimore Orioles (3:07 p.m. ET) and the Cleveland Guardians vs. Kansas City Royals (4:10 p.m. ET).
Friday Night Baseball on Apple TV returns with two broadcasts on March 28: Orioles vs. Blue Jays at 7:07 p.m. ET and New York Mets vs. Houston Astros at 8:10 p.m. ET. The Mets and Astros will also be featured on FOX's Saturday Baseball on March 29 at 7:15 p.m. ET. Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN makes its season premiere on March 30 with a rematch of 2024's NL Wild Card Series between the Atlanta Braves and the San Diego Padres. This will be the final season of Sunday Night Baseball, as ESPN and MLB have agreed to conclude their contract at the end of the 2025 season
The Braves visit the Dodgers for a star-studded series beginning on Monday, March 31 at 10:10 p.m. ET. This series will showcase several former MVPs, including Shohei Ohtani (though due to his injury, he is not expected to play in this game) and former Braves star Freddie Freeman. The Dodgers will also be on Apple TV Friday Night Baseball when they take on the Philadelphia Phillies on April 4 at 6:45 p.m. ET. Several teams will play their home opener on Friday the 4th, including the Mets, who host the Blue Jays at 3:10 p.m. ET for Juan Soto's home debut. Mets fans in the New York area can watch SportsNet NY on Hulu + Live TV, which also features national networks like ESPN, FOX, and TBS. Hulu + Live TV comes with unlimited DVR, allowing users to record games and fast-forward through commercials later on. You can also catch most games available on ESPN and FOX on other streaming services such as DIRECTV STREAM, Fubo, and Sling TV.
