Amy Ryan Returning to The Office

Michael Scott's former flame is returning to The Office this season. Amy Ryan will reprise her role as Holly Flax for eight episodes, an NBC rep confirms. 

In the Season 7 finale, Michael (Steve Carell) took one for the team by being the public face during the Sabre scandal. In return, CEO Jo (Kathy Bates) said she's try to bring Holly back.

Apparently, Holly won't be too happy with her return to Scranton, though, seeing as she'll leave boyfriend A.J. (Rob Huebel) behind in Nashua.

The 40-year-old actress, who was Oscar-nominated for her role in Gone Baby Gone, last appeared on the NBC series in Season 5.
