White comes from a writing piece that I finished early 2010. At first, it was no more than an intuitive writing about the color white. In certain aspect, it is also a self-reflecting piece on my life under the long and harsh winters of northern Quebec, Canada. In the piece, I redefine and personified the color white as something cruel and powerful, then created an interaction between its persona and I. This piece contemplates metaphorical questions on existence and consciousness. Visually, through using mostly white image. I investigated poetic connections with texture and layers of similar visual elements, thus also to reveal complexity from simplicity. Emotionally, it also symbolically depicts concepts of loneliness, and soulful connection.
