The German woman has long been a victim of the Reich. Suffering from deprivation, separated from her husband and children who went to war, or raped by the Soviets in Hitler's defeat, they have come through the judgment of history. However, they must be taken seriously. Because the ideologues of the Third Reich knew how to use German women to make them essential cogs in their system. More than 13 million of them were included in the NSDAP, the Nazi party. Between 1933 and 1945, their role evolved according to needs. First reproductive mothers, they then contributed to the German war machine by working in factories, before accompanying their husbands to the occupied territories and volunteering to serve as guards in the death camps.
