After years of hard work, the skilled female workers of a small garment factory find themselves confronted with the ugly side of free-market capitalism. However, overseer Armida and a handful of colleagues summon up the strength to move on with their lives and, refusing to take the situation lying down, decide to produce their lingerie line. In the meantime, a rapacious property developer has set his sights on turning a nearby convent into a luxurious resort. As one thing leads to another, the nuns join forces with Armida's girls, and a secret, unheard-of collaboration begins. Now, the sky is the limit. After all, faith works miracles.
