The fairy tale tells the story of an orphan, Zito, whose life since birth has brought him many injustices, but only until the widowed devil Filistýna falls in love with him. She enables him to correct, through magic, the sinful deeds committed by commoners and rulers alike. Little does the boy know that the ability to cast spells has been bestowed on him by the devil in love only to trick him into hell, even on the day Zito is to marry his beloved Adelka. Will the tiny but clever Zito manage to get out of hell not only Adelka, himself, but also the herbalist who found and raised him as an infant in a field of rye?
