• Her first job after graduation was as a morning meteorologist for WTXL in Tallahassee, Florida
• Became interested in meteorology after her experiences dealing with hurricanes while growing up in South Florida
• Started out in broadcasting as a student at Florida State University, where she reported the weather on "FSU Live․"
