Peter Reckell Biography

Fast Facts

• Has garnered five Soap Opera Digest Awards for his role on "Days of Our Lives," as well as receiving a Special Fan Award for America’s Favorite Couple, shared with Kristian Alfonso
• Attended Boston conservatory, receiving a bachelor’s degree in theater and a minor in music and dance
• Built theater sets and was in his high school’s chorus, eventually becoming the theatre technical director, as well as appearing in numerous productions
• Joined the Emmy Award winning cast of "Venice: The Series" in 2010, in which he remained for two years, until leaving in 2012
• Made his TV debut on "As the World Turns" in 1986, after which he went on to join the cast of "Days of Our Lives․"
• Aside from acting, he enjoys mountain biking, yoga, martial arts, swimming, and going horseback riding
• Being an environmentalist, he rides his bike to work and drives an electric car, in addition to stating that he would only have one biological child, due to his concerns for population control
