• Initially interested in becoming a police officer like his father, he began to pursue acting while attending Santa Clara University where he would eventually graduate with a theater degree
• Suffered a severe back injury that included several fractured vertebrae in December of 2007 after a car he was riding in lost control on California's Pacific Coast Highway
• Earned widespread recognition after appearing on "Battle Galactica" beginning in 2005 as Samuel T․ Anders
• Following college, he began to land guest-starring television roles in the late '90s on series including "Touched By an Angel", "Beverly Hills: 90210" and "Dr․ Quinn: Medicine Woman"
• Landed one of his first starring television roles on ABC's "Killer Women" that debuted in the fall of 2013
• While not acting, he enjoys racecar driving and playing guitar for his band, Simpleworld
