• Played Squash at an international level for Canada when he was a child, but decided not to make a career of the sport toward the end of his teens
• Worked as a caterer and a pizza delivery man before finding success as an actor

• Rose to fame playing Dylan Shaw on "The Bold and the Beautiful," and though he was concerned about finding work after he left the soap opera, he managed to land roles in a number of series, including "Blood Ties" and "Dawson's Creek․"
• Was cast in a leading role in the Hallmark's first ever scripted series, "Cedar Cove," in which his reporter character settles down in a small, quirky town
• Opened the Dylan Neal Acting Studio in order to teach acting classes
• Has dual citizenship in the United States and his native Canada
