• At the Univ․ of Oregon, earned the Casanova Award in 1982, became a three-time All American, and played in the 1985 Hula Bowl in Hawaii
• He is involved with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada
• Nominated for a Saturn Award in the category of Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series for his role on "Stargate SG-1․"
• Received a football scholarship at the Univ․ of Oregon where he became a Pacific-10 Conference player as a defensive back and safety for the Ducks from 1982 to 1985 and led in kickoff return yards during 1983-1984, as well as interceptions in 1984
• Attended Carson High School in Los Angeles where he graduated in 1982 and was an All-L․A․ City football player for legendary Coach Gene Vollnogle
